Podcast 3. El Cumpleaños. (Escuchar/ listen)

My Birthday

This week is my birthday so I’ve decided to invite my family to have lunch.

Before deciding the “menu” I’ve asked them what they prefer to eat.

My father prefers fish, my mother likes chicken more. My brother says he wants to have meat and my sister is on a diet and wants to have vegetables.

The kids want pasta and pizza, they don’t like fish and I like “paella” and Spanish omelette.

After asking everybody I have realized it’s very difficult, nearly impossible, to prepare a meal that everybody enjoys and I have decided to prepare pasta for the children and paella with fish and vegetables for the adults. Ice cream and cake for everybody, coffee and champagne to toast.

Lunch is going to be at two and before lunch and while the rice is boiling we will have an aperitif. I’ve bought two bottles of Rioja wine, beer and soft drinks and ham, cheese and olives.

Everything is ready. In the next Podcast I’ll tell you how many presents I received after this delicious meal.
