Podcast 17.
Handy Woman
I’m not a handy person when there is something wrong at home, but sometimes there is no option but to become an electrician, a plumber, a bricklayer or a gardener.
The cooker didn’t work, it was lunch time and Sunday, there was not other solution, so I decided to take a chance. I had never seen the inside of a cooker but I thought that I might see a loose cable or something like that.
Nothing is so easy as you expect, to remove the screws was a difficult task, besides you never have at home as many screwdrivers as you need not even the proper one, so after trying all of them I ended up removing the last one using the dessert knife.
There were thousands of cables there, blue, red, long, short, some went together, some in pairs, after studying that labyrinth quietly I realized a cable that seemed to be out of its place, but where was\n its place?, impossible for me to know. After an hour I decided to give it up, I prepared a delicious cold sandwich and phoned to the “We are at your service 24 hours a day” if I were lucky they would charge me a bit less the cooker was already dismantled.
