Podcast 21. Gym (Escuchar/ Listen)

Gym

Gym

After Christmas and summer holidays most people (included me) decide to go to the gym to lose those kilos we have gained eating and drinking too much and being too lazy to walk or do some exercise.

I read this definition of a gym somewhere “ A gym is a place with people moving as fast as they can but staying in the same place or lifting things over and over that always end up where they started off”
I think gyms have changed a lot lately, or at least they have in my town. I went to the gym and the list of possibilities was longer than the menu in a good restaurant: Body Tonic, Body Balance, Aerobics, Spinning, Pilates, Step, the list goes on. And the possibility of mixing two of them or even three if you are willing to go at weekends as well.
The prices are as varied as the offers.
I’m determined to suffer and sweat at least three times a week and to pay for it but I wonder “Is it worth being so relaxed during summer that I need at least three months to get rid of what I gained only in one?” and the answer is “Of course, if it weren't worth you wouldn’t have been doing it all your life”.

Dear Teresa Sanchez,

I love your podcast! I have recommended it to my friends. My sister-in-law is Peruvian-Canadian and she enjoyed your podcast on bull running in Pamplona. I hope you don't mind but I want to put a link to your blog on my blog.

Please excuse the English note. I read Spanish but I only speak a little. (I studied French at school but Spanish is something I am trying to teach myself.)

Thanks again for your wonderful teaching, from one teacher to another.

Maaja

Teresa,

Since I am the only person in San Antonio Texas that doesn't know Spanish, I need to learn it in a hurry! Ha ha! Thankfully I found your podcast, and it is super! I really appreciate it.

Sweet blog! I found it while searching on Yahoo News. Do you have any suggestions on how to get listed in Yahoo News? I've been trying for a while but I never seem to get there! Thank you
