ssl4you - Spanish as a Second Language

Buenas tardes, mi nombre es Teresa Sanchez, les hablo desde Zamora, España y este es mi primer Podcast….. va dirigido a todos aquellos que quieren mejorar su nivel de español.

Quiero, antes de nada, dar las gracias a dos personas que me animaron y ayudaron a poner en marcha esta idea, ellos son Jose Luis Blanco que se encargo de resolver todos los problemas tecnicos y a Jeff McQuillan que, desde los Angeles y como experto en Podcasts en ingles me animo a hacerlo en mi idioma.

En principio la idea es grabar dos podcast al mes de aproximadamente 15 minutos de duracion y quiza mas adelante uno cada semana. Todas las grabaciones seran hechas por nativos, yo misma y profesores del Centro de Enseñanza Rio Duero de Zamora donde en la actualidad doy clases de ingles a adolescentes españoles.

Tras haber escuchado todos los podcast de eslpod en la web http://www.eslpod.com/ y gracias al amable ofrecimiento del profesor Jeff McQuillan he decidido utilizar el mismo formato que el emplea:

Una breve introduccion del tema que va a tratar el podcast
Una lectura a velocidad lenta y por tanto comprensible del podcast
Una explicacion de las palabras y expresiones mas dificiles o coloquiales
Una ultima lectura a la velocidad normal de un hablante nativo

Good afternoon, my name is Teresa Sanchez, I’m speaking from Zamora, Spain and this is my first Podcast. It is addressed to people who want to improve their Spanish.

First of all I want to thank two people for their help and support, they are Jose Luis Blanco who solved all the technical problems and Jeff McQuillan who being an expert in English Pocast encouraged me to do it in my language.

My Project consists of recording two podcasts per month, each one lasts about 15 minutes . All the podcasts will be recorded by native speakers: myself and teachers from the “Rio Duero” High School in Zamora where I teach English to Spanish teenagers

After listening all the podcasts from eslpod in the web page http://www.eslpod.com/ and thanks to the kind offer of Dr Jeff McQuillan I have decided to follow the same format he uses

1. A short introduction about the subject in the podcast
1. A story read slower than normal speech.
2. An explanation of some words or expressions used in the reading
3. A repetition of the dialog or story at a native rate of speech.
