Podcast 44. Primavera y Alergia (Escuchar/ Listen)

Primavera, verano, otoño o invierno, ¿Qué estación prefieres? . La mayoría de la gente contestaría sin dudar que la primavera.

Primavera significa “tiempo de cambios”, cambios en la naturaleza y en los animales y para muchos de nosotros el comienzo de un tiempo mejor.

Los inviernos aquí son largos y fríos y la primavera supone el fin de la nieve, la niebla y el hielo y el anuncio del verano.

El tiempo se hace mas cálido, los días son más largos, pasamos más tiempo fuera de casa, las calles se llenan de gente, los parques se llenan de flores, todo anuncia un tiempo mejor en todos lo sentidos.

No obstante, si preguntas a mi amiga Luisa seguramente te dirá que la primavera puede ser maravillosa pero desde luego no para ella que padece alergia primaveral y se pasa el mes de abril estornudando, tosiendo y con los ojos rojos.

Tampoco le hace mucha gracia el cambio de hora y aunque le digas que es necesario para ahorrar energía se queja de que tarda casi una semana en adaptarse al nuevo horario.

Como ves, todo es relativo y como dice el refrán “nunca llueve a gusto de todos”.

Spring and Allergy

Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter, which season do you prefer?. Most of the people would say without doubts that Spring is the best time.

Spring means “time of changes”, changes in plants and animals and for most of us the start of better times.

Winters here are long and cold and Spring means the end of snow, fog and ice and the announcement of Summer.

Weather becomes warmer, days are longer, we spend more time outdoors, streets are full of people, parks are full of flowers and everything announces a better time in all senses.

Nevertheless, if you ask my friend Luisa she will probably tell you that spring may be marvellous but not for her that suffers from floral fever and passes all April sneezing, coughing and with red eyes.

She also complains about the time change and although you tell her it’s necessary to save energy she claims it takes her nearly a week to get used to the summer time.

As you can see everything depends who you ask and as the saying goes “one man's meat is another's poison"
