Podcast 73. Peleando con mi ordenador (Escuchar/ Listen)
Me he comprado un ordenador portátil y no nos llevamos demasiado bien. Es un Mac. y me está resultando muy complicado adaptarme a este sistema. Todo el mundo dice que cuando te acostumbras a un Mac ya no quieres otra cosa pero yo me pregunto ¿Cuánto tiempo me va a llevar adaptarme a él?. He decidido darme tres meses de plazo, soy cabezota y constante pero tengo que reconocer que a veces “me supera”.
El teclado es mi primera pesadilla, echo de menos mi tecla borrar , avance página, retroceso, insertar y en lugar de la tecla “control” ahora debo usar “comand” y no consigo aprenderme las infinitas combinaciones del teclado, cuando creo que lo tengo todo bajo control me doy cuenta de que tengo todos mis documentos en la papelera o que no puedo conectarme a Internet porque también he enviado a la papelera el navegador, es tan fácil arrastrar las cosas que ni te enteras de que lo haces.
Intento controlar las aplicaciones mas básicas con el teclado, cosas como: crear nuevas carpetas, guardar, mostrar información, deshacer, cortar, copiar, ver archivos en columnas o listas, ocultar, etc y trato de mantener más o menos ordenado el escritorio, ahora Dock.
El ratón es otro cantar, acostumbrada a un ratón con botón derecho e izquierdo no acabo de hacerme a este, en fin miles de cosas que acaban sacándome de mis casillas y que tendré que controlar en tres meses.
¡Sería la primera vez que me rindiera!
Fighting against my laptop
I’ve bought a new laptop and we don’t get well each other. It’s a Mac and it’s being quite hard for me to adapt to this new system. Everybody says that when you are used to a Mac you don’t want to use another one but I wonder: How long is going to take me to get used to it?.
I’ve decided to give me three months, I’m stubborn and persevering but I have to admit that sometimes it gets over me. The keyboard is my first nightmare, I miss my delete, insert, page up and page down keys and instead of control now I have command and I can’t learn the endless keyboard combinations, when I think I have everything under control I realise I have all my documents in the trash or I can’t connect to the Internet because also the navigator is in the trash ,it’s so easy to drag items that you don’t notice you are doing it.
I try to control the most basic applications using the keyboard, tasks like: to create new folders ,to save. to show information, to undo, to cut, to copy, to see files in colums or lists, to hide, etc and I try to have my desktop, now Dock, more or less organised. The mouse is another matter, I’m used to the two buttons mouse and I find this very hard to handle, well thousands of things that are driving me crazy and that I will have to control in three months. It would be the first time I gave up!

Hola Teresa,
No te preocupes, ha eligido y compado el mejor computador posible ! Dentro de poco tiempo, tu estaras acostumbrada a tu Mac y por ejemplo, nunca mas deberas ir en el menu "Start" para quitar Windows o instalar programas de "anti-viruses". Ademas, el Mac es un ordenador mas logico, pero necesita un poco de adaptacion... Enhorabuena por tu compra !
